Fashion through the eyes of my four year old.

The other day my son decided he would chose what he wanted to wear. Mind you it was hot and I wasn’t about to complain but this is what he chose to wear. The extra special effect of not buttoning his shirt is nice don’t you think? Very Travolta.

I was okay to humor him up until I tried to get him ready to leave the house. In protest he refused to remove the fireman rain boots or button his shirt for that matter. Hours later we managed to button up the shirt and remove the boots in exchange for those god damn crocs (something I wish I would have never bought him to begin with)

This really got me to wondering about all those kids I see running around in plaid pants and striped shirts or the flowered top paired with checkered skirts. Did they get to pick out what they wanted to wear that day or did the parental units actually think it was socially okay to dress them that way? I am all for self expression. If my son really wanted to shave his head or wear all black I would support him all the way. That being said, as long as I have to help you to the potty and take you everywhere I go I do have some say in how you look.
