Ah! Spring is in the air, bees are buzzing, flowers are a bloomin’ and my feet well that’s a whole other story. I’d like everyone to think that I maintain those parts unseen by passers by. For the most part I do, but during those winter months when most of the time my tootsies are covered in socks and whatever foot protection I deem worthy of my mommy uniform. Frankly I could care less and would have a hard time trying to find the time to tend to my toes. Dodging a crawling baby while my toes drying is not my idea of relaxation. I actually find the whole pedicure procedure a bit uncomfortable. It’s always me and a few other woman some of which you know have their piggies done on a regular basis. I try to not feel beneath these women as I peel off my socks revealing my sadly pale toes the nails obviously self painted over a month ago with chipping paint to boot. To make matters worse I am sure my pedicurist is talking about me with her coworkers. Maybe I am just paranoid?
For now my toes are hidden away snug in my slippers yes, they are painted. Done by myself a couple of weeks ago between nap time and snack time. I even felt a little cheeky in my color choice so when my feet are seeing the light of day I look down and smile as my little green toes say hello.
