I was looking for inspiration a few nights ago and was thumbing through other mom blogs (no, we’re not the only mom blog, just the best one) when I stumbled on a site I would normally have no interest in. It’s called something like Celebrity Baby Blog, I don’t even want to link to it, if you’re interested you’ll find it, it’s out there along with tons of others just like it. I’m one of those people that firmly believes celebrities are people just like us but they’re richer and they don’t get to fart in the grocery store or it’s news somehow. I tend to have little to no interest in what the celebs are doing so what pulled me in to such a site?

Honestly, mainly boredom and gawking at photos of fancy people with their children dressed to the nines, then I clicked a link that lead me to a certain celebrity’s baby shower. Now in this case the famous mama had three other children and was on baby #4, do average moms with three children still have baby showers? Don’t they have enough presents and hand-me-downs to ‘take it from here’? It seems a bit much. I’m not poo-pooing celebrations. Sure have a party, if there’s cake involved you know I’m there, but gifts?  read more »
